## Hire requests

Formalize your choice to work with an attorney and notify them to begin engagement.

### How it works

1. From a proposal in [My cases](https://www.openlaw.com/client/dashboard/cases), select Hire on the proposal you want to accept.
2. Review the attorney and fee summary in the hire request modal.
3. Add an optional message explaining your goals or urgency.
4. Confirm the hire request — the attorney is notified and can follow up with next steps.
