1. After you hire an attorney, they may send an engagement agreement or payment request through OpenLaw.
2. Check your email or open your client dashboard for a notification about the new request.
3. Review the contract terms carefully, then sign electronically when you are ready to proceed.
4. If a retainer or fee is requested, complete payment securely from the same flow.
5. Track status on your [client dashboard](https://www.openlaw.com/client/dashboard) — awaiting signature, signed, or payment completed.
